Tell us a bit about your blog?
We are two graphic designers working in the advertising industry in Durban, and we started our blog, Ruby & the Swallow Design Collective, in January this year as just another place for us to adore everything design and more! What you'll find is a general design, wedding and all-round good-feeling blog, and we aim to add a little fun, spark and delight to our reader's daily lives. We share beautiful things to look at, including fashion, wedding and design trends, inspiring love stories from real brides, local Durban events and places, and of course, a little bit about ourselves every now and again!
And yourselves?
We are Kim and Filipa, friends who decided to let our creative energy blossom into this blog that we now adore. Filipa will always read the book rather than watch the movie. She is obsessed with animals and loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. We will both cry after a sad film trailer, and unashamedly love a good Rom-Com. Kim loves beautiful photography and listening to the same song on repeat. She is a coffee snob and a constant list-writer. We can read each other's minds; seriously! We both believe a life without chocolate would be a rather sad one. And we love laughing so hard until our eyes water!
We are almost always on the same wavelength, and love working together. We have different design styles, and that ensures that we both always see the bigger picture. The Ruby Team definitely believes two heads are better than one!
